The Ayerma International Knowledge-based Industrial and Mining Research Company Laboratory, located in Birjand, was established in 2022 (1401 in the Iranian calendar) and officially began operations on January 25, 2024 (1402.10.05). The laboratory includes:
Crushing, grinding, and acid-leaching hall: 160 m\u00b2
Analysis hall: 70 m\u00b2
Annual capacity: Analysis of up to 20 samples per shift
Since its inception, the laboratory has analyzed approximately 300 mineral samples. It currently provides a wide range of mineral testing services, including:
Crushing of mineral samples using a high-precision crusher
Grinding of crushed samples using a 6-mortar mill, capable of processing six samples simultaneously
Atomic absorption analysis for five key elements: Cu, Fe, Mg, Zn, Pb, using the Varian FS220 atomic absorption spectrometer
In the near future, the laboratory plans to expand its atomic absorption analysis capabilities to include two additional elements, Ag and Al, and will introduce an advanced, high-sensitivity OES-ICP system to enhance analytical precision. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMineral samples are first weighed and transferred to the acid-leaching hall.
Under fume hoods, samples undergo acid treatment according to their specific requirements.

Analysis is performed using the Varian FS220 atomic absorption spectrometer.
The process involves two personnel: Operator: Starts the system, configures the instrument, selects elements for analysis, and ensures the device is ready for readings. Technician: Assists the operator, records data, and calculates the elemental concentration and grade of each sample.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Crushing and Grinding Hall<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mineral samples are first crushed using the crushing machine.
Crushed samples are then transferred to special mortars and ground using a 6-mortar grinding machine, allowing six samples to be processed simultaneously.
Once ground and passed through a 100-mesh sieve, samples are coded, weighed in the weighing room, and sent to the acid-leaching hall for further processing. <\/p>\n
